 PRODUCT APPLICATION

EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is an important chelating agent. EDTA has a wide range of applications, including being used as a bleach fixer for processing color photographic materials, a dyeing auxiliary, a fiber treatment agent, a cosmetic additive, a blood anticoagulant, a detergent, a stabilizer, and a synthetic rubber polymerization initiator. EDTA is a representative substance of chelating agents and can form stable water-soluble complexes with alkaline earth metals, rare earth elements, and transition metals. In addition to the sodium salt of EDTA, there are various salts such as ammonium salt, iron, magnesium, calcium, copper, manganese, zinc, cobalt, aluminum, each with different uses. Furthermore, EDTA can also be used to facilitate the rapid excretion of harmful radioactive metals from the human body, acting as a detoxifying agent. It is also used as a Water Treatment agent. EDTA is also an important indicator, used for titration of metals such as nickel and copper. When used, it needs to be combined with ammonia solution to function as an indicator.
